Job summary

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) seeks a Senior Systems Engineer III to lead test and evaluation and systems-engineering activities for homeland security missions in partnership with DHS and other national security programs. You will guide planning, coordination, and execution of complex demonstrations and system integration, ensuring traceability and risk management.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, improve engineering processes, and communicate technical decisions

Qualifications

BS/BA with 5+ years of relevant work experience OR MS/MA with 3+ years OR PhD with 1+ year in systems engineering, T&E, systems integration, verification/validation, or technical program support.
Experience independently planning and coordinating test or data-collection activities, including objectives, schedules, roles, procedures, and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead test planning, test readiness, execution and reporting activities.
Provide technical leadership and coordinate resources for system integration and evaluation.
Advise project leadership on requirements, dependencies, risks, and opportunities to improve execution.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to development of SE and T&E practices.
Apply emerging AI-enabled tools to improve engineering workflows and mission outcomes.
