Job summary

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) seeks an experienced cybersecurity policy professional to perform independent security and privacy control assessments in support of Security Authorization. The role includes evaluating FISMA systems, developing assessment plans, collecting evidence, and drafting comprehensive findings with recommended actions.

The ideal candidate has at least a BS/BA with 5+ years of policy experience or an MS/MA with 3+ years, or a PhD with 1+ year.

Qualifications

• BS/BA with 5+ years of cybersecurity policy experience or MS/MA with 3+ years
• PhD with 1+ year of cybersecurity policy experience
• Experience planning security assessments and presenting to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

• Perform independent security and privacy control assessments for Security Authorization
• Assess existing and new FISMA systems and communicate findings
• Develop Security Assessment Plans and assessment methods
• Collect assessment evidence and interview information system staff
• Draft Security Assessment Reports detailing findings and risks with recommended actions
• Document findings concisely with actionable recommendations
