Job summary

Ulteig is looking for a Systems Integrator III to design, integrate, and commission electrical control systems for renewable energy projects. You will work with PLC and HMI platforms, interpret schematics, and help ensure substation readiness.

You will lead on-site commissioning, collaborate with engineers, and stay compliant with safety and industry standards while applying evolving automation technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (equivalent experience considered).
• Experience applying electrical, control, and automation concepts.
• Experience with PLC programming and HMI design (Ladder Logic, FBD, ST).
• Experience designing/troubleshooting fiber optic networks.
• Ability to read electrical schematics (one-line, P&IDs).
• Experience with HMI development and commissioning.
• Understanding of automation, integration, and protection principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and project docs.
• Design and integrate PLC and HMI systems for automation of renewables.
• Integrate substation systems incl. protective relays and RTACs.
• Lead, test, and troubleshoot electrical control systems.
• Perform on-site field commissioning and network troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders for project success.
• Follow industry standards including NERC CIP and safety regs.
• Learn and adapt to new technologies and programming techniques.
