Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Lead Systems Integrator to design, develop, and commission advanced electrical control systems, focusing on PLC and HMI integration for renewable energy projects. You will mentor junior engineers, manage schedules, and ensure quality across deliverables.

Travel 25-35% is expected; a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field is required, with strong PLC/HMI, fiber optics, and SCADA experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field; equivalent experience considered.
Advanced experience applying electrical and automation concepts.
High proficiency in PLC programming and HMI design; multiple languages preferred.
Experience designing and troubleshooting fiber optic networks.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and power diagrams.
Experience with multiple PLC platforms (e.g., Schneider, SEL RTAC, Allen-Bradley).
Strong mentoring, communication, and leadership abilities.
Willingness to travel 25–35%.
Authorized to work in the U.S. permanently.

Responsibilities

Review and maintain electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; mentor juniors.
Design and integrate PLC and HMI for renewable energy automation.
Integrate substation systems and devices, including protective relays and RTACs.
Lead testing and mentor junior staff to troubleshoot systems.
Oversee on-site field commissioning and network troubleshooting.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
Promote knowledge sharing and adherence to industry standards and safety (NERC CIP).
Drive adoption of new technologies and automation techniques.
Lead large, multidisciplinary projects.
