Job summary

Vast is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Long Beach to support the design and build of the Haven Station, reporting to the Vice President of Flight Safety and Mission Assurance. This full-time, exempt role is based in Long Beach, CA, and involves leading engineering baselines and verification activities across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of design ownership and systems integration experience, including at least 1+ year in systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical foundation of design baselines through requirements definition and verification campaigns.
• Oversee cross-disciplinary engineering activities and drive product readiness at major milestones.
• Pioneer streamlined systems engineering processes and traceability across the program.
