Job summary

Vast is developing Haven-1, a multi-module space station program, with a focus on integration, build, and test of flight hardware. This role leads an engineering team, driving production readiness and cross-functional collaboration to ensure a reliable, human-rated space station build.

The position is full-time and exempt, located in Long Beach, CA, with responsibilities spanning design-for-manufacturing, fixture development, and process optimization for on-orbit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, electrical, or similar field.
• 2+ years of related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers and specialists for Haven-1 build, test, and integration.
• Support hardware production and vehicle-level integration to ensure safety, schedule, and cost targets.
• Plan, execute, and validate flight hardware against requirements; develop tooling and fixtures.
