Job summary

Vast is building the world’s first human-rated commercial space stations to enable a new space economy for government, corporate, and private customers. We seek a Senior Systems Engineer to support Haven station development from Long Beach, reporting to the Vice President of Flight Safety and Mission Assurance.

This full-time exempt role will drive design baselines, verification plans, and cross-disciplinary engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years in design ownership, systems integration, or test engineering.
• At least 1 year in systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical foundation of design baselines through requirements management and verifications.
• Oversee product engineering across disciplines and ensure readiness at major milestones.
• Define and maintain verification & validation plans and success criteria across the program.
• Review designs against requirements and drive corrective actions for non-conformances.
