Job summary

Vast in Long Beach is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development of systems for the Haven Station program. The role reports to the Vice President of Flight Safety and Mission Assurance and is a full-time exempt position located in Long Beach.

Responsibilities include defining requirements, managing verification plans, and leading cross-disciplinary technical leadership across aerospace disciplines to ensure design baselines meet program milestones and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of design ownership, systems integration, test engineering, with at least 1+ year focused in systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical foundation of design baselines through requirements definition and verification.
• Oversee management of products across disciplines and drive readiness at milestones.
• Define verification and validation plans to ensure high quality inputs and outputs.
• Review designs against requirements and resolve non-compliances.
• Lead guidance on systems engineering principles and cross-functional communication.
