Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer to join a close-knit DoD-focused team in Tucson, AZ. You will develop physics-based modeling solutions for EO/IR/RF domains, creating extensible C++ models and integrating with multi-language environments.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineers, mentor teammates, and drive innovations in energy transport modeling while ensuring design and test readiness for tomorrow's AI hardware and software

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM with 8+ years of experience.
Experience with object-oriented software design in C/C++ and MATLAB or Python for data evaluation.
Experience with UNIX/Linux, Apple OS, or Windows command line.
Experience in electro-optics, radar processing, Imaging EO/IR/RF systems, energy transport, radar physics, signal processing or discrimination algorithms.
Ability to obtain Interim Secret security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Champion novel modeling techniques.
Develop new C++ models in an extensible, maintainable fashion.
Deploy EO or RF phenomenology and advanced physics in software.
Enable customer success through adoption and utilization of modeling solutions.
Work across programming languages and build environments within an established product.
Research and develop novel EO or RF modeling solutions.
Coordinate with multiple teams to prioritize and solve software and physics problems.
