Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. You will craft physics-based models for DoD Space, focusing on EO/IR/RF domains to help engineers understand energy transport and support AI-driven hardware solutions.

The role involves developing scalable C++ models, collaborating across teams, and mentoring peers while advancing advanced modeling techniques and software deployment in a high-security environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• Experience with object-oriented design in C/C++ and evaluating data with MATLAB or Python.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux, macOS, or Windows command line.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Champion novel solutions for advanced modeling techniques.
• Develop new C++ models in an extensible and maintainable fashion.
• Deploy EO or RF phenomenology and advanced physics principles in software.
• Support customers by enabling adoption and utilization of modeling solutions.
• Collaborate across programming languages and build environments on existing software products.
• Research and develop novel EO or RF modeling solutions.
• Coordinate with multiple development teams to prioritize complex problems.
• Mentor and share EO or RF expertise with the team.
