Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, seeks a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ.

You will develop physics-based EO/IR/RF modeling solutions to help engineers grasp complex energy transport and test tomorrow’s AI-enabled hardware. Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics or related STEM field.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong OO software design in C++/C with MATLAB or Python for data evaluation.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux, macOS, or Windows command line.

Responsibilities

• Champion novel modeling techniques for advanced simulations.
• Develop new C++ models in an extensible and maintainable fashion.
• Deploy EO or RF phenomenology and advanced physics principles in software implementations.
• Enable our customer’s success through adoption and utilization of modeling solutions.
• Work efficiently inside an established software product, across programming languages, and build environments.
• Research and develop novel EO or RF modeling solutions.
• Coordinate with multiple development teams to prioritize and solve complex software and physics problems.
• Mentor and share EO or RF expertise with your team.
