Job summary

RTX is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer - Signal and Sensor Modeling Engineer for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ.

You will develop physics-based modeling solutions in the EO/IR/RF domain to aid engineers in understanding energy transport and to support the design of advanced AI algorithms and hardware. You will deploy cutting-edge technologies, write robust C++ models, and collaborate with Signal and Sensor Modeling peers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics or related STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with object-oriented software design in C++/C and MATLAB or Python for data evaluation.
• Proficiency with UNIX/Linux, Apple OS or Windows command line.
• Background in EO/RF modeling, radar, imaging EO/IR/RF systems, energy transport or related algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Champion novel modeling techniques.
• Develop new C++ models in an extensible, maintainable fashion.
• Deploy EO/RF phenomenology and physics principles in software.
• Enable customer success through adoption of modeling solutions.
• Collaborate across teams to solve software and physics problems.
• Mentor teammates and share EO/RF expertise.
