Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Systems Engineer – Level 4 to join the Redondo Beach, CA team, supporting factory and site DT&E activities with test procedure development and integration tasks.

The role requires coordinating TRR/TRB discussions, data analysis, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to verify system requirements and drive issue resolution while maintaining quality and process standards. Occasional extended travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 8+ years of engineering experience; or Master’s with 6+ years; PhD with 4+ years.
• Active SCI clearance at time of application or ability to obtain.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and execute system-level integration and test procedures for the Ground Element in factory and site environments.
• Plan and conduct dry-runs and run-for-record test executions, coordinating resources and data collection.
• Prepare and present material for Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and Test Review Boards (TRBs).
• Analyze test data to verify requirements, identify anomalies, and drive resolution with cross‑functional teams.
• Collaborate with software, network, and systems engineering to ensure testability and verification of requirements.
