Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer – Level 4 in Redondo Beach, CA to drive features for satellite ground systems and lead cross-functional product increments. The role demands MBSE tooling expertise, knowledge of CAMEO, and strong collaboration with engineering teams.

Ideal candidates will have an active SCI clearance, 8+ years in engineering, and experience with space-vehicle C2 systems, MBSE models, and Agile processes.

Qualifications

• Active SCI clearance at time of application or ability to obtain and maintain SCI prior to start date.
• 2+ years of MBSE tooling experience (CAMEO) or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in space-vehicle, command-and-control, mission management or related software subsystems.
• 2+ years of experience with system engineering artifacts (use cases, ICDs, class/ sequence diagrams, schemas or REST/HTTP).
• Experience working in Agile programs and methodology.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and execution of features for satellite ground systems with MBSE models.
• Translate customer needs into digital artifacts to enable software implementation.
• Lead verification planning, test requirements, and key products.
• Engage in sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews aligned to product vision.
• Provide SME in Space-Vehicle C2 System areas and collaborate with teams.
• Conduct demos and briefings for customers and senior leadership.
• Ensure integration of capabilities with ground satellite software systems.
• Utilize Jira/Confluence for project tracking and knowledge bases.
