Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Sr Principal Systems Engineer – Level4 to lead external interface definition across space, ground, and cross-segment programs.

You will develop ICDs, IRDs and associated artifacts, decompose requirements, and guide cross-functional teams through reviews and integration activities. A SCI clearance is required for start and continued employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in STEM with required experience.
• Active SCI clearance required for start.
• Experience managing external interfaces and documentation (ICDs/IRDs).
• Experience on space systems programs.
• Familiarity with interface standards and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical definition and control of external interfaces for assigned subsystems and segments.
• Develop, maintain, and baseline ICDs/IRDs and related artifacts.
• Decompose system-level requirements into interface requirements and allocate them.
• Lead interface working groups, design reviews, and technical interchange meetings.
• Maintain Interfaces in DOORS and drive documentation into Digital Transformation.
• Coordinate interface definition across mechanical, electrical, data, RF, and software.
