Job summary

HID Global is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments. You will automate provisioning, drive incident response, and collaborate with Security, DevOps, and Networking teams to ensure platform stability and high availability.

The role emphasizes lifecycle management, DR planning, and architecture documentation, with participation in SAFe/Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of systems engineering or operations experience with production-grade infrastructure.
• Strong Linux and/or Windows server admin experience.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and container orchestration.
• Proficient in automation and scripting (Python/PowerShell/Bash).
• Proven incident management and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain server, storage, and cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance to meet SLAs.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management, and incident handling.
• Lead root-cause analysis and long-term remediation.
• Develop runbooks, architecture docs, and operational standards.
• Manage backup, DR, and business continuity strategies.
• Collaborate with Security, DevOps, Networking, and App teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Drive infrastructure lifecycle, patching, and capacity planning.
• Support SAFe/Agile ceremonies and iterative delivery.
