Job summary

HID Global in Salt Lake City seeks a Systems Operations Engineer to support the reliability, performance, and security of core systems. This role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and hands-on maintenance under guidance.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in systems administration, familiarity with Linux/Windows, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, scripting, monitoring, and basic networking. Degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in systems administration or related role.
• Experience with Linux or Windows server administration.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Basic scripting or automation experience.
• Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, firewalls).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in deployment, configuration, and maintenance of servers and cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor performance and escalate issues to meet SLA.
• Support automation and configuration management under guidance.
• Contribute to incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain runbooks and documentation.
• Collaborate with Security, DevOps, Network, and Apps teams.
