Job summary

HID Global is seeking a Systems Operations Engineer in Salt Lake City, Utah to help maintain and improve core systems and infrastructure. The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and developing reliable operational practices under guidance.

You will assist in deployment, monitoring, automation, incident handling, backup procedures, and cross‑functional collaboration with Security, DevOps, Network Engineering, and Application teams. 1–3 years of experience required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in systems administration, operations, or a related technical role.
• Working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server administration.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in deployment, configuration, and maintenance of server, storage, and cloud infrastructure.
• Monitoring system performance and escalating issues to ensure availability and SLA adherence.
• Supporting automation efforts with scripts and tools for provisioning and config management.
• Participating in troubleshooting and contributing to root‑cause analyses.
• Maintaining runbooks and operational documentation to keep information up to date.
• Assisting with backup and disaster recovery procedures and business continuity.
