Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to support software systems engineering for aviation programs. This full-time, on-site role is located at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD.
Active SECRET clearance is required, with potential for TS clearance later. The position involves developing software requirements, coordinating with vendors, performing defect analyses, and supporting Agile/SAFe processes and reviews.
Qualifications
- Two years of software or systems engineering experience.
- Knowledge of avionics systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
- Support the ECP process.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
- Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs.
- Develop IGCEs.
- Support technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
