Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks an enterprising mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering across acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs.

The position is full-time, on-site at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with active security clearance requirements and a path toward potential Top Secret. In this role, you will lead requirements development, vendor coordination, and system integration, while collaborating with cybersecurity experts

Qualifications

• At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
