Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering across acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs.
The role is full-time, on-site at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, with an ACTIVE Secret Clearance required and potential for Top Secret in the future. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in software and systems engineering, especially for military avionic systems, and will engage in vendor
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
- BS in a technical discipline from an ABET accredited program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
