Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a mid‑level to senior software‑focused Systems Engineer for the acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. The role requires full‑time on‑site presence at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD, and an active Secret clearance with potential to upgrade.

The candidate will lead software and systems engineering activities across reviews, cybersecurity coordination, and vendor integration.

Qualifications

At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
Active Secret clearance required; eligibility for Top Secret.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software requirements.
Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
Conduct analysis of software defects.
Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
Support Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
