Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering across acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. The role requires on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and an active clearance.

The position emphasizes collaboration with vendors, cybersecurity coordination, and participation in formal system reviews within a defense program environment.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the ECP process and prepare SOWs/CDRLs.
