Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. This on-site role requires presence at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD.

The candidate must hold an ACTIVE Secret Clearance and may need to obtain a Top Secret clearance after start. BS in a technical ABET-accredited field is required, with significant experience in software and systems engineering.

Qualifications

• At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the ECP process and IGCEs.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs.
• Assist in technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
