Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for aviation programs.
This full-time, on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and requires an active secret clearance. Responsibilities include developing software requirements, coordinating with vendors, supporting Agile/SAFe processes, and contributing to MBSE and system safety efforts.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of software and systems engineering experience.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
- BS in a technical discipline from an ABET-accredited program
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
- Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
