Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs. This on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.

An ACTIVE Secret clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret after starting. The job involves developing software requirements, coordinating with vendors, integrating systems, and supporting Agile and SAFe processes.

Qualifications

• At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.
• BS in a technical discipline from an ABET-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
