Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. The role requires on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD.

A US Citizenship with an Active Secret clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret later. BS in a technical ABET-accredited field, and at least two years of software or systems engineering experience, are expected.

Qualifications

• At least two years in software or systems engineering.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.
• BS in ABET-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the ECP process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
