Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to support acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs. Role requires on-site work at a NAVAIR base in MD, with potential clearance updates. Future funding anticipated; start after Sept 1, 2026.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in software/systems engineering, DoD standards, MBSE, and agile processes, with a Secret clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Ten years or more experience in software and systems engineering.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• ABET-accredited BS in a technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
