Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs. The role requires on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Patuxent River, MD.

Active Secret clearance is required with potential for Top Secret after start. US citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Qualifications

• At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• Active Secret clearance is required; Top Secret clearance may be required after starting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, etc.).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
