Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Sr Systems Architect to translate complex customer needs into world-class electrical architectures for power generation and industrial electrification projects.

The role leads cross-functional teams, defines standards, validates designs through FAT/SAT, and ensures performance targets while guiding executive stakeholders. Travel up to 25% is required, with strong emphasis on reliability and system integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years in power generation or related.
• 7+ years engineering with 3+ years leadership.
• 5+ years presenting to executives and stakeholders.
• 5+ years managing complex technical initiatives with large-scale projects.
• 7+ years of experience with utility-scale power generation systems.
• 5+ years applying IEEE/ANSI/IEC/NERC/FERC/NFPA standards.
• Willingness to travel 25% or more.

Responsibilities

• Develop and govern integrated power generation system architectures.
• Lead integration of inside-the-fence-line assets including turbines and HV/LV gear.
• Define system requirements, baselines, interfaces, and design standards.
• Define validation strategies; FAT/SAT; commissioning milestones.
• Coordinate multi-discipline teams for uptime and performance.
• Review power system studies for validation of architecture performance.
• Translate customer requirements into electrical architecture and design requirements.
• Lead risk, interface management, and integration planning across project lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary technical coordinator across GE Vernova units.
• Support business development with architecture definitions and risk assessments.
• Develop reference architectures for repeatable applications (data centers, microgrids, industrial facilities).
• Lead customer-facing workshops and architecture reviews; provide executive recommendations.
• Support commissioning and acceptance activities to meet performance objectives.
• Mentor engineering teams and advance systems engineering best practices.
• Coordinate testing, validation, and solution reviews with stakeholders.
