Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) in Woburn, MA seeks Sr. System Administrators to design, implement, and maintain secure IT environments for classified programs. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define computing requirements and deliver end-to-end infrastructure solutions.

Requirements include Windows and Linux server expertise, VMware virtualization, and experience with hardening and security tooling. A DoD clearance and interim eligibility are essential for start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Secret clearance required; U.S. citizenship.
• Experience administering Windows and RHEL servers.
• VMware virtualization experience.
• Experience with system hardening and securing configurations.
• Scripting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Understand Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals incl DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced, team-based setting.
• Work with Cybersecurity to maintain security requirements.
• Document and train on advanced IT processes and procedures.
• Must obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) within a reasonable time.
• Systems are operational 24x7 and may require work beyond standard hours.
• Start date will not be set until Interim clearance is obtained.
