Job summary

RTX is seeking an IT Systems Administrator for an onsite role in the US. You will manage a heterogeneous Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment, install and administer Windows/LINUX systems, and troubleshoot complex issues across OS and hardware. Applicants must obtain interim DoD Secret clearance and be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred experience with VMware, WSUS/MECM/Exchange, and DoD RMF guidance; relocation support available; competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience.
Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience with installation, configuration, and administration of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
Experience with server architectures and troubleshooting methods.
Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.

Responsibilities

Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
Experience with Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems.
Must be able to obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within a reasonable amount of time.
