Job summary

RTX in Woburn, MA seeks a Sr. Principal System Administrators Lead to design, implement and maintain secure IT infrastructure for classified programs. The role requires 24x7 operations, on-site work, and close collaboration with Cybersecurity to meet DoD security requirements.

You will lead a team, provide Windows and Red Hat Linux administration, manage AD/DNS/Kerberos, and ensure readiness for DoD 8140/8570 certifications within six months. Onsite role with occasional travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Active and transferable DoD secret clearance required before start date.
• Experience with Linux and Windows administration.
• Experience mentoring or leading others.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS configuration.
• Deep Red Hat Enterprise Linux knowledge and related services (SSSD, LDAP, Kerberos).
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to meet security requirements and document IT processes.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Travel up to 5% to other US locations; 100% onsite.
• Ensure systems operate 24x7 and plan for after-hours work when needed.
