Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to support a DoD-program environment with Red Hat Linux and Windows infrastructure. You will manage server provisioning, storage, and cross-platform authentication, while coordinating with Cyber Security and Network Engineering teams.

The role requires DoD security clearance eligibility, DoD 8140/8570 certifications within 6 months, and experience with VMware, AD, WSUS, and Linux/Windows administration.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous RedHat Enterprise/Microsoft Windows environment.
• Participate in all phases of Engineering software installation and support, with emphasis on testing, documentation, and acceptance phases.
• Collaborate with System Admins, Cyber Security professionals, Network Engineering and Program Stakeholders.
• Apply understanding and knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
