Job summary

RTX is seeking an IT systems administrator to provide heterogeneous Linux and Windows support, maintain security, and collaborate with Cybersecurity teams. The role requires DoD clearance eligibility and U.S. citizenship, with potential travel up to 10%.

The position is a full-time onsite role at multiple U.S. locations, with a salary range disclosed by the company and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates should have strong Linux experience and familiarity with LDAP/AD and VMware

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Must have Linux experience.
• Experience in LDAP, Active Directory, VMware, MySQL, networking administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Redhat Enterprise Linux, and Microsoft Windows.
• Experience with Linux fundamentals and Windows Server internals to include Ansible, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, AD, and server replication methods.
• Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
• Experience with data RAID, data backup uses and technologies.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
• Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
• Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
• Travel required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate up to 10% travel.
