The role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience, DoD security clearance (Secret), and proven leadership in safety program management. Relocation and onsite work are included.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing MIL-STD-882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses.
• Experience writing technical reports and presentations.
• Experience briefing safety status to safety approval authority.
• Experience managing or owning a safety program.

Responsibilities

• Develop MIL-STD-882E system safety programs, analyses, and evaluations.
• Interpret system requirements and standards to advise compliance strategies to leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to eliminate hazards and implement controls.
• Create and manage safety strategies and IMS integration, budgets, and EVMS coordination.
• Mentor early-career safety engineers and drive safety culture.
