RTX is seeking a Senior System Safety Engineer for an onsite role in Tucson, AZ. You will develop and execute MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs, coordinate with customer safety reps, and work across engineering disciplines to mitigate hazards and ensure safety throughout the lifecycle.

The ideal candidate holds a STEM degree with 5+ years of related experience, an active DoD security clearance, and proven ability to write technical reports and present findings.

Qualifications

• STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in System Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Eng, or Electrical Eng.
• Experience writing technical reports and presentations.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs and analyses.
• Coordinate with customer safety reps and govern safety approvals with Safety Review Board.
• Collaborate across Systems Eng, Software, Electrical and Hardware teams to mitigate hazards.
• Provide lifecycle safety oversight from program startup to disposal.
• Prepare internal and customer-facing reports detailing analyses and status.
