Ideal candidates have a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience, experience briefing safety statuses to authorities, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing and implementing MIL-STD-882E System Safety programs.
• Experience briefing safety status to safety approval authorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs and analyses.
• Interpret requirements and standards to advise leadership on compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to eliminate hazards and implement controls.
• Integrate safety tasks into IMS and manage safety budgets and EVM.
• Mentor early-career safety engineers and lead safety working groups.
