Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Senior System Protection Engineer to join our Grid Services team. This role focuses on system protection engineering—relay settings, protection philosophies, and power system studies, with a secondary role in supporting and reviewing substation protection & control design for high‑voltage projects.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement (three days in the office) and relocation support, with opportunities to work with utility clients and commissioning teams on

Qualifications

• ABET‑accredited Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years of system protection experience on transmission/substation projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform system protection studies including short‑circuit analysis and relay coordination.
• Configure and troubleshoot microprocessor-based relays and verify protection settings.
