Job summary

Eaton Corporation's IS AER FMC Aerospace division seeks a Senior Sustaining Electrical Engineer to lead reliability improvements and support troubleshooting for field and production issues. You will focus on motor controllers, DC motors, electrical boards, actuators, and related components for Grand Rapids products, collaborating with operations and supply chain.

Reporting to the Sustaining Engineering Manager, you will develop tests, evaluate obsolescence, and drive fault isolation manuals

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum two (2) years of experience in electrical engineering role.
No sponsorship for employment now or in the future; CPT/OPT/STEM OPT considerations not offered.
ITAR – U.S. person required for compliance.
No relocation benefit; candidates within 50 miles of Grand Rapids, MI only.

Responsibilities

Drive product improvements through engineering analysis, redesign and testing of electromechanical actuators and system hardware.
Sustain product viability through evaluation and redesign of hardware with obsolete components.
Develop test plans, specifications and test procedures for requalification activities; coordinate testing and evaluate results.
Support PWA supplier transfer initiatives and cross-functional cost-reduction efforts.
Collaborate with operations, procurement and customers to address field issues and provide technical guidance.
Develop fault isolation manuals and support FRACAS system development and metrics.
