Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FMC Aerospace division is seeking a Senior Sustaining Electrical Engineer to lead momentum product improvements and support troubleshooting for field and production issues. The role focuses on reliability and quality improvements of motor controllers, DC motors, and electromechanical components at the Grand Rapids, MI facility.

The incumbent will work with operations, procurement, and customers, ensuring effective technical support and obsolescence management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum two years of experience in electrical engineering.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.
• Relocation within 50 miles of Grand Rapids, MI required.
• ITAR compliance: U.S. person required.

Responsibilities

• Lead momentum product improvement initiatives and support troubleshooting and root cause corrective actions for field and production issues.
• Drive product improvements through engineering analysis, redesign and testing of electromechanical actuators and system hardware.
• Develop test plans, specifications and procedures for requalification activities; coordinate testing and evaluate results.
• Support supplier transfer initiatives and collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service and HPWT to drive cost reductions and improve reliability.
