Job summary

Pfizer is seeking an Environmental Senior Manager within the Environmental Sustainability team. You will develop and drive climate, biodiversity, and product sustainability programs across Pfizer's manufacturing network, partnering with External Supply and Procurement to progress net zero with suppliers and leading cross-functional initiatives without direct reporting lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience; or a master's with 5+ years; or a PhD with 1+ year.
• Experience building corporate sustainability programs in a large, matrixed organization.
• Technical knowledge across climate/GHG accounting, Scope 3, biodiversity frameworks, and product sustainability regulations.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and data management skills.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical content for executives.
• Experience developing sustainability playbooks and training for technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies and programs (Scope 3, sustainable sourcing, biodiversity, product sustainability, responsible supply chain).
• Manage Pfizer's Scope 3 program across cross-functional workstreams.
• Collaborate with External Supply and Procurement on net zero strategy for suppliers (CMOs) and emissions data quality.
• Develop and communicate sustainability performance metrics and KPIs for decision-making.
• Lead cross-functional teams to advance sustainability objectives and integrate environmental considerations into sourcing.
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends affecting sustainability and compliance.
• Develop governance processes, risk assessments, and compliance programs related to sustainability.
• Create guidance documents, playbooks, training, and decision-support tools.
