Job summary

Pfizer is seeking an Environmental Senior Manager to drive climate, biodiversity, and product sustainability initiatives across internal and external manufacturing networks.

The role leads cross-functional teams, develops governance and training materials, and partners with procurement to advance net zero goals. Travel and complex stakeholder coordination are expected in a global health context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience; OR a master's with 5 years; OR a PhD with 1+ year.
• Experience supporting corporate sustainability programs from strategy through execution in a large, complex matrixed organization.
• Technical knowledge across climate/GHG accounting, Scope 3/supply chain emissions reductions, biodiversity frameworks, and product sustainability regulations.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and data management skills.
• Operates with minimal supervision and oversight.
• Exceptional communication skills; translate technical content into executive narratives.
• Experience developing and delivering training programs and sustainability playbooks to technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies and programs across Scope 3, sustainable sourcing, biodiversity, product sustainability, and supply chain initiatives.
• Manage Pfizer's Scope 3 program: analyses, emissions reductions opportunities, tracking, cross-functional implementation.
• Partner with External Supply and Procurement to evolve the net zero strategy; provide guidance on implementation.
• Develop, monitor, analyze, and communicate sustainability performance metrics and KPIs.
• Lead cross-functional teams to advance sustainability objectives and integrate environmental considerations into business processes.
