Job summary

Pfizer seeks an Environmental Senior Manager to design and drive climate, biodiversity, nature, and product sustainability programs across internal and external manufacturing networks. You will lead cross-functional teams, align with the Net Zero Core Team, and deliver plans to meet Pfizer’s sustainability objectives while anticipating regulatory and business risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of experience; or a Master’s with 5+ years; or a PhD with 1+ year.
• Experience building corporate sustainability programs in a large, matrixed org.
• Technical knowledge across climate/GHG accounting, Scope 3, biodiversity frameworks, and product sustainability regulations.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and data management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, and experience delivering training and playbooks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies and programs (Scope 3, sustainable sourcing, biodiversity, product sustainability, responsible supply chain).
• Manage Pfizer’s Scope 3 program: analytics, emissions reduction opportunities, tracking, and cross-functional implementation.
• Partner with External Supply and Procurement to evolve net zero strategy with suppliers and CMOs; guide implementation.
• Develop, monitor, analyze, and communicate sustainability metrics to support decision-making and reporting.
• Lead cross-functional teams to advance sustainability objectives and integrate environmental considerations into sourcing decisions.
• Monitor frameworks and industry trends; assess impacts and develop response plans and compliance actions.
• Implement governance, risk assessments, and compliance programs for sustainability.
• Create sustainability guidance documents, playbooks, training materials, and decision-support tools.
• Represent Pfizer on external sustainability initiatives and thought leadership activities.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for environmental sustainability across Pfizer.
