Job summary

Bowman invites applications for a Survey CAD Technician III to join our Ashburn, VA team. You will work with management to prepare and finalize project deliverables and contract documents to meet company standards and client requirements.

The role emphasizes producing ALTA surveys and translating field data into drawings, performing calculations, and maintaining accuracy under limited supervision. Our comprehensive benefits package supports employees’ professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree in survey, geography, architecture, or civil engineering preferred.
• Five+ years of relevant survey and CAD experience.
• Proficiency in Carlson, Bentley Inroads/Geopak, Revit or similar software.
• Surveyor-in-Training certificate preferred.
• Licensure in surveying is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare working drawings from ALTA surveys for final approval and submission.
• Convert data into electronically generated drawings and project documents with accuracy.
• Compute horizontal and vertical positions for stakeouts and analyses.
• Read client requests and standards to ensure adherence.
• Draft final house location surveys from field notes and measurements.
• Check plats for completeness and submit plots for review.
• Use ALTA, topographic, and boundary survey knowledge on projects.
