Job summary

Bowman in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Survey CAD Technician III to join the team. You will prepare drawings from ALTA surveys, perform complex boundary computations, and convert data into project documents with accuracy.

Expect to read client requests, adhere to municipal standards, and support multiple projects under minimal supervision. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in land surveying/CAD, proficiency with Carlson or similar tools, and relevant licensure or a strong path toward it.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Five+ years of relevant survey and/or CAD experience in land development/land survey.
• Knowledge of survey concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency with Carlson, InRoads/Geopak, or similar civil engineering software.
• Surveyor-in-Training certificate preferred and licensure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare working drawings from ALTA surveys for final approval and submission.
• Use critical thinking and problem-solving to complete projects with limited supervision.
• Convert data into electronically generated drawings and project documents with accuracy.
• Perform horizontal and vertical computations for boundary surveys and stakeouts.
• Read client requests and standards to ensure adherence to requirements.
• Draft final house location surveys from field notes and measurements.
