Job summary

Bowman Company in Freehold, NJ is actively seeking a Survey CAD Technician III to join our team. You will prepare ALTA survey drawings, convert field data into precise project documents, and perform complex boundary computations with limited supervision.

The role requires strong CAD and land surveying skills, experience with Carlson and other civil design tools, and familiarity with laser scanning and point cloud processing. A related associate degree is preferred and licensure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of survey and/or CAD experience in land development/land survey.
• Proficiency in Carlson, Bentley Inroads/Geopak, Revit or similar civil design software.
• Experience with Laser Scanning processing, registration and extraction.
• Knowledge of Point Cloud processing tools including TBC, Cyclone and CloudWorx.
• Survey licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare working drawings from ALTA surveys for final approval and submission.
• Convert data into electronically generated drawings and project documents with accuracy.
• Perform horizontal and vertical computations for boundary surveys and analyses.
• Read client requests and ensure compliance with standards and specs.
• Draft final house location surveys from field notes and measurements.
• Compute positions for stakeouts and site features.
• Check record plats for completeness and submit plots to agencies.
• Conduct research using Google Earth and data from other agencies.
• May complete land development related surveys as well as boundary surveys.
