Job summary

Carle Health seeks a skilled surgical technologist to support operative teams in direct and indirect patient care. You will prep for procedures, maintain sterile fields, scrub, and assist surgeons across multiple specialties. Training and mentoring junior staff will be part of your role.

Requirements include an Associate's or Certificate in Surgical Technology and BLS within 30 days. This position emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, and patient safety in a fast-paced OR environment.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Associate's Degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• Able to scrub and assist in various procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures.
• Set up sterile field and scrub before case starts.
• Maintain instruments, equipment and suture readiness.
• Precept surgical techs and RNs as needed.
• Perform first scrub, first assist and second scrub roles.
• Assist with case turnover and dressing applications.
