Job summary

Atrium Health Surgery Center: Huntersville - Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support sterile technique and instrument handling in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The role requires completion of a surgical technology program or military OR training, a high school diploma/GED, and 2 years of OR experience, with Basic Life Support certification. It offers a full-time schedule and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic technique and its application.
• Graduate of a surgical technology program or military OR training.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Prepares and maintains sterile field and room turnover with the RN circulator.
• Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization and ensures sterility.
• Documents charges and monitors sterilization activities per policy.
• Participates in staff education and quality improvement initiatives.
