Job summary

Carle Health in Everett, WA seeks a Surgical Technologist to support direct and indirect patient care. You will assist surgeons, prepare operative fields, and train staff as needed, ensuring efficient, safe procedures.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days (AHA).
• Associate’s degree or certificate in Surgical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub prior to patient entry.
• Maintain organized back table and Mayo stand for efficient case flow.
• Collaborate with surgeon and adapt to case needs.
• Mentor RNs and junior technologists when needed.
• Assist in first scrub and first assist roles during procedures.
• Complete case closing activities and post-case turnover.
• Precept and teach other staff in scrubbing on varied cases.
